Welcome Emergency Med-Heads (not sure that one worked, but I tried)
In this episode we will discuss the topic of women in emergency medicine with Dr. Esther Choo, MD, MPH of OHSU. Today we touch on issues such as workplace inequality, sexism, common myths, finding mentors, and the female perspective on working in emergency medicine. While this may seem like an episode that is intended only for women, that perception could not be farther from the truth. Unless, however, you are a male physician, who works at an all-male hospital, in that case, please disregard this episode. Otherwise, it is important for all physicians to acknowledge and address the challenges that our specialty continues to face.
